Q. What time does the Carnival start??
A. Judging starts from 4.30pm on Hendra Field.  The Carnival procession starts at 6pm from Hendra. Music and entertainment will continue on the Quay until 10pm.

Q. Who can enter Truro Carnival?
A. Anyone can enter the Carnival. An application form is available from our website or from the Truro Tourist Information Centre.

Q. Is there a fee for entering the Carnival?
A. No, there is no fee for entering the Truro Carnival, however we do expect all entries to have suitable liability insurance should it be required (this can usually be negotiated on a day rate).

Q. How do I obtain a float?
A. Large floats (plus a driver) can be obtained free of charge from our sponsor Westfield Transport. Please note, this is on a first come, first served basis, and insurance must be covered. To book a large float, please contact Rob Walker on 07836 600055. Smaller floats must be sourced independently.

Q. Who judges Truro Carnival?
A. Judges will be announced in due course.

Q. Can I collect money during the procession for my own charity or cause?
A. No, the Carnival Committee collect during the procession in order to raise funds for the Carnival itself, and for our designated charities.

Q. Can I attend Truro Carnival committee fundraising events?
A. Yes, Truro Carnival Committee hold fundraising events throughout the year and anyone is welcome to attend. If you would like more information on our fundraising events please click here to be taken to the fundraising page.
